Which are the world’s most sought after foreign currencies?

Melyek a világ legkeresettebb devizái?Since 1986, the Bank for International Settlements, headquartered in Basel, and often referred to as the central bank for central banks, has been publishing the results of a survey into the world’s most sought after foreign currencies every three years. The 2016 survey didn’t produce too many surprises.

The survey of 1300 banks concluded that the US dollar continues to be the world’s most sought after foreign currency. The daily turnover, on average, was 5100 billion dollars, down from the 5400 billion dollars a day recorded in 2013. But the US dollar still comprehensively beat its competitors, with the other podium places occupied by the euro and Japanese yen. The currency developing most dynamically was the Chinese yuan, which was in 8th place in the world list according to the survey.
